Goodbye to Satsop Business Park!

Today is the last day of classes at Satsop Business Park, the temporary home for students and staff during the biggest stretch of construction at the red schoolhouse. Starting January 6, students will head back to campus, even as the remaining work continues through the rest of the school year.

A lot has already come together. Classrooms are glowing with new historic light fixtures, original wood floors have been refurbished and refinished in two of the three classrooms, new carpet has been installed throughout other areas, and extra learning spaces have been reworked to better fit how the needs of the school. Outside, the beloved “big toy” playground has officially been moved closer to the new gym and existing multipurpose room.

There is still work ahead, especially on the new gymnasium and multipurpose area, which everyone is very ready for. Although it is a bit sad to say goodbye to Satsop Business Park, today marks a huge step towards being back in the historic schoolhouse and starting the next chapter there!
