Construction is officially underway on the Satsop School Modernization Project, and there’s already plenty to share.
The first big milestone was the removal of the old covered play area next to the multipurpose room. While it’s always a little bittersweet to say goodbye to a familiar space, we’re excited for what’s coming next. The brand-new gymnasium that will be the future hub for basketball games, P.E. classes, and all kinds of fun activities.
Across the parking lot, the schoolhouse building is transforming quickly. The old carpet has been pulled up, revealing the original hardwood flooring hidden beneath. Many of these beautiful floors will be restored and brought back to life, while select areas will receive fresh carpet and new hard-surface flooring to support modern learning spaces.

Around the back of the building, a new ADA-accessible ramp is being installed to ensure every student, staff member, and visitor can easily access the school.

Lots of changes are happening at Satsop. Stay tuned for more project updates as construction continues.
